Elegant, complex and gorgeously fruited, showing tropical fruit, Turkish delight and a hint of spiced apple. Excellent weight and persistence on the palate, succulent and juicy.
Vegan friendly.
Review: "Gorgeously fruited and elegantly complex, the wine shows poached pear, fig, lemon peel and subtle spice aromas on the nose. The palate is equally attractive with excellent weight and persistency, wonderfully supported by fleshy texture and bright acidity, finishing long and refreshing. 5 stars." Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

Viticulture | Ōhau vineyard is perfect for cool climate wine production. Late, dry autumns provide cool nights, ideal for the slow flavour development during the ripening of the fruit. Using sustainable processes, our vineyard team takes good care of the vines and the land. In 2023 the vineyard benefitted from La Nina while most other wine regions were hit by intense cyclonic weather. The fruit going into the winery had very little disease and excellent ripeness, which made for low intervention winemaking and some lovely aromatic wines. |
Winemaking | With the pinot gris, it’s all about maintaining the aromatic characters and purity in the wine through a cool ferment and careful juice handling. This vintage was fermented entirely in stainless steel tanks, with around two months on secondary lees. |
Alc/Vol | 12.5% |
