Refreshing and lively - this elegant sauvignon blanc displays grapefruit, red apple and lime zest characters.
Reviews: 'Showing appealing matured complexity, the fragrant bouquet shows Gala apple, peach, lemon zest and subtle spice aromas, followed by a juicy palate that's elegantly weighted and smooth. It's well balanced by bright acidity, finishing long and pleasingly dry - 4 stars.' - Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, March 2020
'Mild yet distinctive bouquet of Sauvignon Blanc with a mix of orchard fruits and citrus, quite fruity overall. On the palate - very fruity and bright with plenty of fruity flavours in an off-dry style; simple, forward, easy and approachable style. 85 Points.' - Cameron Douglas MS
Tasting Notes
Aroma | The nose displays grapefruit, red apple, dill and lime zest characters. |
Palate | The palate delivers juicy mouthfeel and fine texture, nicely structured by crisp acidity. With hints of grapefuit skin, red capsicum and gooseberry. |
Viticulture | Ōhau vineyard is perfect for cool climate wine production. Late, dry autumns provide cool nights ideal for the slow flavour development during the ripening of the fruit. The Sauvignon Blanc fruit was harvested between 11 and 14 April 2015. |
Winemaking | Preserving the vibrant fruit flavours from the vineyard is at the core of our winemaking. To achieve this, a slow, cool fermentation is used. |
Alc/Vol | 12% |
