Tasting Notes
| Aroma | Delightfully aromatic, with guava, tropical fruits, lifted Turkish delight and gala apple skin. |
| Palate | The rich, fruity palate offers bright quince and ripe pear with a spicy note. Finishes long and juicy. |
| Food Match | A superb match with creamy pasta, poultry, seafood and lightly spiced dishes. |
| Viticulture | Ōhau vineyard is perfect for cool climate wine production. Our temperatures drop several degrees before harvest, and the slow flavour development produces intensely aromatic, crisp, fruit-driven wines. 2024 was a lovely season for the aromatic whites, so our team could pick the pinot gris at peak ripeness with no weather pressure or disease issues! The grapes were harvested in late March and early April 2024. |
| Winemaking | With the pinot gris, it’s all about maintaining the aromatic characters and purity in the wine through a cool ferment and careful juice handling. This vintage was fermented entirely in stainless steel tanks, with around two months on secondary lees. |
| Alc/Vol | 12.5% |
