Complex and funky, this oaked sauvignon offers a powerful palate with a dense juicy structure. Savoury and concentrated, with tomato leaf, lime skin and subtle dried herb notes.
Review: "Fermented using indigenous yeasts then matured in barrels, this complex style offers grape fruit, beeswax, toasted almond and savoury characters with subtle dried herb undertones. The palate is concentrated and finely textured with beautifully pitched acidity, which provides excellent structure and length. A lovely alternative style offering attractive fruit flavours together with seductive complexity. 5 Stars." Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

Viticulture | Our Ōhau vineyard has stony, fertile soils - ideal for grape-growing! The area is renowned for it long autumns which help ripen the fruit in the vineyard. The grapes in our best blocks were carefully hand-picked to ensure only the finest fruit went into the Selected Vines range. |
Winemaking | In the winery, the juice was gently pressed and settled before bein gracked with some solids to old oak barrels. We allow these barrels to be fermented by the indigenous yeast that come in on the skins of the grapes. The wine was left on gross yeast lees in barrel for 10 months before being prepared for bottling. |
